I bought this mp4 but it does not work ... I could not even turn it on when I put on my computer does not even recognize one months waiting for nothing ... and money thrown away ....

This does not use a Rockchip. It has an Anyka chip.

I tried the rockusb driver and it doesn't work - wrong VID/PID. When I tried the PCcam - it says "Anyka USB" - I found an Anyka USB driver on the web and installed it and it "works". I put that in quotes because the image shows up but colours are all wrong - I look blue!!

Don't try to upgrade the firmware - there is a file on tinydeal which says it's for the 2G version but it only contains the rockusb drivers so you can't connect to the thing when in "maintenance mode".

Firmware handling of playlists is a little strange - they are all called "MyFavouritesX", where X is a digit. It creates a file called MyList_X.ALT, which appears to be a list of the files, prefixed with
"C:AUDIO...", separated by sem-colons ";", all on a sin gle line. And the file is UTF-16 little-endian encoded (e.g. 2 bytes per character).

Really impressed with the movie playback - a full 90 minute move takes only 260MB and there is no problem watching a full movie on one charge - could probably watch two.... [ Подробнее ]

Great for playing music and movies/videos and showing pictures. Battery charges fast and last for hours and hours.

camera is 640x480 (~300kP) sensor you find in 15$ digital cameras
microphone picks up more noise than signal.
Difficult to get good reception with the FM radio - which is too bad because the firmware seems to be well designed.

The "english" documentation was for a different firmware, so you have to be good and finding your way around - e.g. took me a while to figure out that if you hold down the __ button the video will rewind.

Game doesn't work.

The conversion software is easy to use and fast (batch), but doesn't handle .flv (youtube) or DVDs, you need to DL viDrop for that (free)
